You may gain access to your personal information with Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC). This information will enable you to ascertain the status of your application and determine if there are any problems with your file that may cause processing delays or denial of your application. You can also review notes that have been entered into your file by a visa officer.

You can designate and authorize someone to obtain this information on your case file.  If you wish for that individual to conduct business on your behalf with CIC, you must appoint him as your representative for this purpose.
